This graduate orientation and readiness course prepares prospective students for enrollment into the Master of Arts in Biblical Theology (MABT) Degree Program through review of thesis expectations, graduate-level writing standards, research procedures, Bible reading requirements, theological study expectations, spiritual formation goals, and ministry integration requirements.

Students will examine the structure of the thesis-based graduate program, including academic expectations, independent study requirements, thesis development procedures, enrollment policies, tuition structure, academic integrity standards, and successful strategies for graduate-level biblical and theological study.

This orientation process is designed to help students prayerfully evaluate their readiness for advanced theological education, independent research, disciplined study, and ministry-focused graduate scholarship prior to official enrollment into the Master of Arts in Biblical Theology Degree Program.

The Master of Arts in Biblical Theology is a graduate-level program designed to deepen the student’s understanding of Scripture, theology, and ministry application through advanced study, research, and written expression.

This program emphasizes:

  • Biblical interpretation and theological development 
  • Integration of Scripture into ministry and life 
  • Advanced research and writing 
  • Spiritual maturity and leadership development 

The MABT program is thesis-based, requiring students to demonstrate mastery of biblical and theological concepts through a comprehensive written thesis project supported by Scripture.

Estimated Program Completion & Study Hours

The Master of Arts in Biblical Theology Degree Program is designed as an advanced independent biblical research and thesis-based graduate program requiring extensive Scripture study, theological analysis, spiritual reflection, research, and academic writing.

The program is estimated to involve approximately 5,000 cumulative study hours, including:
 • Advanced biblical and theological research
 • Independent Scripture study and reflection
 • Full Bible reading requirements
 • Thesis preparation and writing
 • Ministry integration and spiritual application
 • Written assignments and doctrinal analysis
 • Final project review and revision

Actual completion times may vary significantly depending upon:
 • Prior theological education
 • Research and writing pace
 • Study habits and scheduling flexibility
 • Ministry experience
 • Personal commitment and spiritual discipline

Estimated completion timelines based upon consistent study may include:

• Students studying approximately 3 hours per day, 5 days per week, may complete the program in approximately 12–18 months.

• Students studying approximately 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, may complete the program in approximately 6–9 months.

Completion of the program in less than six months may require additional academic review and a written explanation due to the substantial thesis, biblical research, and Bible reading requirements of the program.

Bible Reading Requirement

Students are required to read the entire Bible in full during the course of the program. This requirement is designed to ensure a comprehensive understanding of Scripture as the foundation for theological study and ministry.

Thesis Requirements

Before beginning your daily study, students are encouraged to commit time to prayer, worship, and seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit. As Scripture teaches, drawing near to God deepens understanding and spiritual growth.

Students are encouraged to maintain a prayer journal to document their prayers and God’s faithfulness in answering them, strengthening both faith and spiritual discernment throughout the program.

Students must approach Scripture with humility, recognizing that full understanding comes through both the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit. The purpose of this program is not only academic understanding, but spiritual revelation and transformation.

Thesis Structure

The MABT thesis is a comprehensive, Scripture-based research project demonstrating theological understanding, biblical interpretation, and ministry application.

Requirements:

  • Length: 20,000–50,000 words 
  • Format: Typed, single-spaced 
  • Language: English 
  • Quality: Publishable-level writing 

Research Standard

This program follows a Scripture-centered research model, in which:

  • The Holy Bible serves as the primary and authoritative source 
  • Accepted translations include: 
    1. KJV 
    2. NKJV 
    3. NIV 
    4. AMP 
    5. NASB 
    6. NRSV 

Students are expected to:

  • Support all arguments directly with Scripture 
  • Demonstrate clear interpretation and application 
  • Present theological conclusions grounded in biblical truth 

Bible Integration Requirement

Students must complete one full reading of the Bible during the program and demonstrate integration of Scripture throughout their thesis.

This requirement ensures:

  • Comprehensive familiarity with Scripture 
  • Depth of biblical understanding 
  • Consistent application of God’s Word  

Thesis Options

Students must choose one of the following:

  • OPTION 1 — Doctrinal/ Theological Thesis

Select one topic and develop a comprehensive thesis supported by Scripture.

The Doctrine of Salvation, The Doctrine of Grace, The Doctrine of the Atonement, the Doctrine of the Covenant, the Doctrine of the Blood Sacrifice, The Doctrine of Sanctification, The Doctrine of Faith, Christian Ministry Principles, Christian Evangelism Principles, The Parables of Jesus, The Miracles of Jesus, The Old Testament Prophesies Fulfilled in Jesus, The Ministry of the Holy Spirit, The Father Heart of God, Faith Leadership Principles, The Doctrine of Regeneration, The Doctrine of the New Birth, Biblical Hero Profile, Faith of the Patriarchs, A Christian's Jewish Roots, Faith for Healing, The Foreshadowing of Jesus in the Old Testament, Old Testament Survey, The Jewish Feasts Revealed in Christ, New Testament Survey, The Names of God, Proverbial Wisdom, The Heart of King David, Biblical Discipleship, Biblical Healing, or All the Books of the Bible Overview.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 50 Scripture references 
  • All references must be quoted and cited 
  • Clear argument and doctrinal position 
  • OPTION 2 — New Testament Sermon Project
    1. 27 sermons (one per NT book) 
    2. Minimum 1,000 words each 
    3. Minimum 2 Scripture references per sermon 
    4. Total: 27,000+ words / 54+ Scripture references  

Additional Submission Requirements

Students must also submit:

  • Personal testimony (minimum 3 pages) 
  • Statement of faith (minimum 7 doctrinal statements with Scripture support) 
  • Copy of previous degrees/transcripts 
  • Letter of recommendation from pastor 
  • Signed statement confirming completion of Bible reading

Students who enroll on or before August 31, 2026 may take advantage of the following tuition options for the Master of Arts in Biblical Theology program:

  • $799 — One-time payment

  • $160/month for 6 months ($960 total)

  • $80/month for 12 months ($960 total)

  • $40/month for 24 months ($960 total)

  • $26/ month for 36 months ($960 total)

Update Tuition Structure, effective September 1, 2026

Beginning September 1, 2026, tuition will transition to a credit-based model: • $30 per credit hour • Based on 36 credit hours in the program (36 x $30 = $1080, or $1200 if payment option is used) *Students will receive original, signed degrees and unofficial transcripts sent to them at no additional charge.

  • $1080 — One-time payment

  • $200/month for 6 months ($1200 total)

  • $100/month for 12 months ($1200 total)

  • $50/month for 24 months ($1200 total)

  • $33.30/month for 36 months ($1198 total)

Master of Arts in Biblical Theology

Graduates of the Master of Arts in Biblical Theology Degree Program will be able to:

 6. Prepare for Advanced Leadership or Doctoral Study

Demonstrate readiness for doctoral-level work or expanded ministry leadership.
